Nordstrom is beginning to open its doors once again after abruptly shutting down to meet the safety standards against COVID-19. The global pandemic impacted businesses all over the world and as the stores prepare to open again, it is taking all the precautionary steps.
The retail brand is set to close fitting rooms to eliminate as much contact as possible for example. Additional measures that will be taken include adding plexiglass dividers at the cash registers to prevent close interactions, and suspending some services temporarily. For those who do not wish to enter the physical store, there is also the option of curbside pickup. The company states, “As our stores reopen we will evolve the way we offer personalized service.”
